The world is green...
The World is green: wet and newand freshly showered.
sky: filmy soap grey
And smelling of spring.
The Earth is cool: soft and deep
like beds of black, frozen salt.
sky: marble-still
And all is quiet.
The Rain cries down: shimmers sheer
soluable jewels on the glass--
the blood or tears of diamonds--
sky: open and running
And all is new.
